Latto Under Fire After Racist Tweets Resurface Before Jungkook Collab, Racist

BTS member Jungkook released a new single called Seven on July 14, featuring hip hop artist Latto (formerly Mulatto, Big Latto). While fans of BTS and Jungkook's individual music were hyped, some racist tweets posted by Latto resurfaced days before the released date of the song.

Latto had made tweets back in 2015 and 2016 against Chinese people, saying "you been cooking cats and dogs?", along with what looks like gibberish trying to imitate Chinese. On another post, Latto replies "Are you asking me if I care ling ling?"
Backlash happened to Latto after she threatened to beat up a concertgoer “You’ll get your ass beat,” Latto rapped as she danced to her own song at Rolling Loud Germany. “Throw it again. Throw it again. I’ll beat your ass. Throw it again.”

While Latto plans on doing acting, as she was a guest on the show Grown-ish, which also features Lil Yachty, Andersson .Paak, and NLE Choppa, as Sloane alongside Kelly Rowland and Omarion, she'll still be known for her racist tweets that will still be stirring on the internet even if she took hers down trying to save face.

BTS was the target of hate over jealousy and success, such as a Dominican Radio calling BTS "Chinese Backstreet Boys", to a German radio station member calling BTS overrated.
The Kpop music industry is the largest in Asia, even other Asian country singers heading over to join Korean labels. EXO, BLACKPINK, BLACK SWAN, and several other groups have mixed singers.
If you end up doing a collaboration with a Kpop artist or group, and you're not Asian, you will get recognized. If Kpop fans hear one bad thing about you saying racist things about Asians, you will be called out and rejected from the Kpop fanbase.

Please report any Asians being targeted with racism physically, verbally, and cyber, and show all proof to the police. Contact Asian support groups too

As Korean guitarist and producer Dabin Lee mentioned, people are endorsing Asian culture but not accepting Asian people, and think they have a right to make fun of us for our differences. It's rude.
