Today I want to cover 5 critical ketosis tips. There are a lot of ways you could go wrong when you first start ketosis. This is how to do it right.
5 important ketosis tips:
1. When you start the keto diet, you're going to dump a lot of fluid through the body. With the fluid, you're also going to eliminate electrolytes. It's important to put those electrolytes back in the body.
2. If you get constipated on the keto diet, that's something that really needs to be taken care of. If you were constipated before starting the ketogenic diet, and you're still constipated, you may want to try an herbal laxative. If you become constipated after starting the keto diet, you may want to switch up the vegetables you've been eating and also add in fermented vegetables. You may want to try a mild laxative tea as well.
3. Use symptoms as an indication to help figure out what's wrong. For example, when you switch to fat-burning from sugar-burning, you could get tired during the transition. This could mean that your body needs more B vitamins (nutritional yeast) and sea salt.
4. Don't overdo the amount of fat you consume. If you haven't adjusted to the amount of fat you're consuming and you start to experience symptoms like right shoulder pain and keto rash, you may want to consume purified bile salts and consume less fat.
5. To avoid looking unhealthy as you lose weight, make sure you consume high-quality foods. You would want to consume foods like grass-fed meats, organic wild-caught fish, and pasture-raised eggs.
