In this short video, I’m going to show you how you can instantly reduce neck stiffness. Just follow along with me and try this really simple technique!

My neck stiffness technique:
Step 1. Tuck your head forward
Step 2. Bring your head back as far as you can
Step 3. Do it again and take note of which direction causes pain
Step 4. Put your hand on the back of your head and stretch in the opposite direction than the direction that’s causing you pain about 5 times (if it’s painful to move your head back, stretch forward, or vice versa)
Step 5: Re-test

With this neck stiffness technique, we use the principle of opposites. If you stretch in the direction that’s opposing the restriction, you could potentially fix neck tightness. You can actually apply this technique to any muscle or joint.
