Orange Juice is NOT Healthy Explained By Dr.Berg

People may try to tell you orange juice is good for you—they’re wrong! Here’s why orange juice is not healthy.

Is drinking orange juice healthy or not? No. I do not believe orange juice is healthy. Orange juice actually has the same amount of sugar in it as soda.

You might think that the sugar is fine because you’re getting vitamin C. But, orange juice is pasteurized. This means it’s heated to kill any bacteria so that it can be stored for much longer. But, this process actually lowers vitamin C in orange juice. They may add synthetic vitamin C (ascorbic acid) back in after it has been pasteurized, but in my opinion, this isn’t the same as getting true vitamin C.

After orange juice has been pasteurized, you end up with something that has low nutrition and high sugar. Not only that, after it’s been heated, the process can destroy the natural flavor, and they actually add the flavor back in later.

If you want orange juice, the best thing to do is to make it yourself. However, if you’re trying to lose weight, you may not want to consume orange juice at all.
