Mountain Quail Hunting in California

I spend the morning hunting mountain quail in the Los Padres National forest of California. I've never hunted a mountain quail before, and getting so lucky to run into a covey while targeting california quail was a treat.

We have three species of quail in california, including the mountain quail. I've checked two off of this list and am itching to get into some gambel's quail in the near future
