2023 - 09-21 - CAPR Fund Raiser - Rep. Mary Dye

Washington State Rep. Mary Dye, 9th District was the guest speaker at the CAPR dinner October 21st.

She is an expert on the water sustainability in Washington State. Her talk focused on

* Water issues including water treatment facilities in Seattle and Olympia and their effectiveness,

* The continuing battle to save the Lower Snake River dams

* How outside groups can use sue-and-settle to get rulings favorable to their goal to breach the dams.

On a positive note, she provided an update on the expansion of the Columbia Basin Project.
