JOE WALSH - THE BEST OF

Joe Walsh, born November 20, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas, is an American rock singer, guitarist and composer. During a career spanning more than 50 years, he was a member of five successful rock groups: James Gang, Barnstorm, Eagles, The Party Boys and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. He also played with the New Zealand band Herbs. From 1990 to 1994, he joined the band The Best, with keyboardist Keith Emerson, guitarist Jeff Baxter, bassist John Entwistle and drummer Simon Phillips; a DVD was released of this formation, The Best Supergroup in 1990.

Walsh has also enjoyed success as a solo artist and prolific session musician, featuring on a vast array of other artists' albums. In 2011, Rolling Stone magazine placed him at 54th place on its list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
