Cricket on the Hearth 1967

Cricket on the Hearth is a 1967 animated movie (and greatly shortened) adaptation of Charles Dickens classic holiday Christmas story. The cartoon stars Danny Thomas, Marlo Thomas, and Ed Ames. It was directed and produced by the famous team of Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin. It tells the trimmed down story of a cricket who seeks to rescue a poor toymaker and his blind daughter from an exploitative miser.
