La líder de Taiwán, Tsai Ing-wen, participó en la ceremonia de presentación del primer submarino de fabricación nacional de la isla. Las autoridades lo consideran un gran avance para Taiwán en la construcción y el diseño naval y esperan que supere con éxito las pruebas técnicas en un puerto de Kaohsiung.
