This story is a stark reminder of how overcrowded and stretched New Zealand’s mental health facilities are.
Since 2018, the government has had a huge budget set aside to make any necessary changes…
Yet, acutely unwell patients are still being forced to wait DAYS to be admitted to an inpatient facility.
It’s unacceptable.
