A Fish, A Widow, And A Farmer

In this session we examine the Sign of Jonah, the story of Ruth, and the story of Cain and Abel. We all know these stories and have been taught them from our youth and even heard them in pop culture. A surface level reading teaches us that you can't run from the will of God, that we should never give up on or abandon those who need us, and that envy is wrong and can have tragic outcomes. However, could there be more that we are missing from them?

Some choose to stop with the aforementioned conclusions, and you certainly can stop there if that is as deep as you want to go with it... but is there more that we can learn from these "stories"? Could it be that they actually are prophetic pictures pointing to a truth that we haven't seen or been taught? Could it be that these stories point to the destruction of the division of the land of Israel (Northern and southern kingdoms), the exile of 10 tribes of Israel, their restoration, and re-unification with Judah and Levi, as well as the joining of them all with Gentiles (all non-Israelites) so that HIS house [God's House] will be a house of worship and a house of prayer for ALL peoples, nations, and tongues.

Could it be that these "stories" also point to an event; the suffering of One Man (the KING of the Jews: Jesus [Yeshua] the Christ. All this so that all peoples, nations, and tongues are Redeemed from the penalty of death through the forgiveness of Sin, Reconciled to the Father and Unified in Communion through the Holy Spirit under HIM? Could it be that the entirety of the Gospels and the History of the nation of Israel & the gentile church are all contained, concealed, and prophesied within these stories?

Jeremiah 16:14-21 Concerning the punishment and restoration of All the House of Israel and the Gentiles:
“Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that it shall no more be said, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.’ For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.

“Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says the Lord, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes. And first I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols.”

O Lord, my strength and my fortress,
My refuge in the day of affliction,
The Gentiles shall come to You
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Surely our fathers have inherited lies,
Worthlessness and unprofitable things.”
Will a man make gods for himself, which are not gods?

“Therefore behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know
My hand and My might; And they shall know that My name is the Lord.
