EP 16: Ketchikan Alaska

One of the port calls for our cruise was Ketchikan Alaska. Referred to as the Salmon Capital of the world, all 5 species of the Pacific Salmon return to the waterways to spawn. The average rainfall is in the neighborhood of 200 inches. (That’s rainforest amounts). When planning any trip, ensure you bring your waterproof gear. Several attractions, Misty Fjords National Monument, Totem Bright State Historic Site or the Saxman Native Village, or like e, just walk around Creek Street and grab some local seafood. This scenic fishing town is sure to delight.
