In this video, we will be tying the Rance's Gypsy King. The Gypsy King is a great all purpose dry fly. It can imitate many different terrestrial and stonefly insects, as well as just being a great attractor fly. This is my favorite Gypsy King color combo (Natural Peacock and Brown), but it can be tied in many different colors…including purple! It is best tied in larger sizes (#06 and #08), but it can be tied down into #10 and #12’s. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Rib: Small Copper Wire
Body: Peacock Herl
Body2: Brown 2MM Thin Foam
Flash: Pearl Krystal Flash
Wing: Deer or Elk Hair
Hackle: Grizzly Rooster Saddle or Cape
Legs: Brown Medium Round Rubber Legs
