Reporter DEVASTATES Republican With Simple Question About Biden Impeachment "Evidence"

During a news conference related to the House Ways and Means Committee's investigation into President Joe Biden and allegations of influence peddling, Republican Chairman Rep. Jason Smith of Missouri appeared frustrated as he attempted to respond to questions from reporters. Smith highlighted what he deemed "evidence of corruption and misconduct" tied to Biden, particularly referencing a 2017 WhatsApp message allegedly sent by Hunter Biden to a business associate. In the message, Hunter Biden reportedly mentioned not being willing to "sign over my family’s brand," which Smith interpreted as a reference to Joe Biden's political power and influence. When pressed about the timing of the message and how Biden could exert political influence if he wasn't in office or a presidential candidate at the time, Smith sidestepped the question, emphasizing that Biden was a candidate during that period when the message was sent. Smith also pointed to an August 2020 email from U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf, directing investigators to remove mentions of Biden from a search warrant for an investigation involving his son, and he suggested a two-tiered justice system in the U.S. was at play, irrespective of the timing during the Trump administration.
