Random Rants: STRIKE AFTERMATH! The Harsh REALITY Of Post-Strike Hollywood Looks Pretty GRIM!

The Hollywood Strikes of 2023 yielded a victory for the Writers Guild of America in terms of AI protections, increased pay, higher streaming residuals, and bonuses. But did it also mean there will be less WGA writers working in Hollywood for the foreseeable future? After all is said and done, studios have announced more cancellations, suspended deals reinstated without any extensions, and news of pullbacks and contraction of content is what awaits current Hollywood writers. Some producers believe there will be 1/3 less TV content in the coming years, as studios will simply make less shows.

Did the writers win the battle, only to lose the war?
