Justice Arthur Engoron is openly talking about disregarding the law and constitution. This creates massive issues with trust in the judicial system. Remember that the legal ethical duty of the judge is to facilitate the application of the law to a particular set of facts. He may also assist in finding the truth of those facts (though to his chagrin the jury is frequently the fact-finder). A judge’s job is NEVER TO MAKE LAW.
