Because you can't be about individual rights as private ownership (where lands belong to the king or the state) and free enterprise (pragmatism, you can do/work with whatever you want in any way you want to) and traditional (caste/class systems, you were born in one - you would die in one) and/or conservative. (Religious, State bound, dogmatic)
