For years the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site, located in southern Illinois, has caught the attention of hundreds of people including researchers, historians and archeologists.

This sacred land is shrouded in mystery as it is still unknown where the inhabitants came from and what happened to them. To this day there are only theories. New evidence is beginning to tell a new story of the ancient civilization that once resided here.

Among the findings during early excavations were two giant skeletons with doubles rows of teeth, copper plated artifacts depicting men in armor with shields and helmets as well as the infamous Birdman and Birman Tablet that has puzzled researchers for decades.
