Oily TrashMovies Episode 27: Deep House (2023)

Bublegum Barbie and Daddy WarBux watch Deep House, which takes inspiration from James Cameron’s The Abyss, changing the setting from the bottom of the ocean to a lake in France, and swapping aliens for ghosts. Jokes aside, the premise is solid for a creepy ghost story with terror-inducing sequences. Jokes forefront, the movie was then edited together by a team of monkeys with a bootleg copy of Movavi. Unfortunately, this film takes a recipe for a masterpiece and spills half the ingredients on the kitchen floor to be mopped up and dropped in the trash. Could this film be saved by a re-edit? You decide.
