I was invited into an Eastern Orthodox podcast to discuss the trinity with JimBob and a few of his friends. Their philosophical premise: If God is love, then the Son must be eternal because, God needed someone to love in expression. Of course there's no mention of the holy spirit as a person in this premise. lol
