Disney Star Wars RECASTING George Lucas Characters NEXT YEAR

There is a new rumor that Disney Star Wars will be recasting the original trilogy characters to have them be a part of Disney Star Wars's mandoverse being ran by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. That means that disney star wars will be giving us a new person as Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo. Does it matter that we've already seen Luke Skywalker twice in the Mandoverse, in Disney Star Wars's The Book of Boba Fett and the Mandalorian Season 2 Chapter 16? Are fans wanting disney star wars to include the characters of old, or george lucas created characters? Why has disney star wars not already done this before? Did disney star wars really think that fans would be ok with NOT having george lucas's characters in a setting 5 years after star wars return of the jedi?
