Boys gone wild

Why, yes, the boys ARE in rut.
P.S. I didn't do this just to torture them. It was hoof day. Only a month ago, hoof day was a peaceable affair - boys wandering about, grazing, awaiting their turn for the maniacal lady with the shears - and, more importantly, the treats, which at any time other than rut, are of far greater interest than are the does on the other side of the fence.
But this month, the seasons have changed. The girls are flirting. The boys are fussing and fighting. The turkey comments bemusedly.
