🚨BREAKING: HOUSE VOTES TO OUST MCCARTHY OUSTED AS SPEAKER

For the first time in history, the House has voted to oust the Speaker!

Led by Matt Gaetz, the motion was based on McCarthy’s collaboration with Democrats during the debt negotiations.

“If the Democrats want to own Kevin McCarthy, they can have him, because one thing I’m at peace with is, when we stand here a week from now, I won’t own Kevin McCarthy anymore. If the Democrats want to adopt him, they can adopt him.”

With an already slim majority, this doesn’t come as a surprise, not even for McCarthy:

"If five Republicans go with Democrats, then I'm out."

Democrats remained skeptical of assisting McCarthy, emphasizing their principles over politics.

Should McCarthy have been ousted for collaborating with Democrats?

SOME OF THOSE PROMISES MCCARTHY BROKE INCLUDE:

– His promise to release the January 6th Footage
– His promise MAINTAIN 2022 budget numbers—not increase them
– His promise NOT to take up a bill without unanimity among Republicans on the House Rules Committee
