Why is NASA Sending Snoopy to the Space Station ARTIMIS 1
1 year ago

In the 1960s, NASA and the Charles M. Schulz, the creator of Peanuts, collaborated to promote space exploration and safety. Snoopy was chosen as the official mascot of NASA's safety program, and astronauts often used Snoopy as a symbol of their missions.
The Apollo 10 mission in 1969 featured a lunar module called "Snoopy" and a command module called "Charlie Brown." These names were chosen in reference to the Peanuts characters. While Snoopy didn't actually go to space, the partnership between NASA and Schulz's characters helped engage the public in space exploration efforts.
