Can Twine Protect Chickens From Hawks

We lost one Chicken to a Hawk. So we put up 2 Halloween Scarecrows. Then we heard that putting up some bright colored twine over your chicken yard would keep the Hawks away. So, we are testing that out. We will update the comments periodically to keep you informed if it works.
