Libya is a country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. The name "Libya" comes from the Egyptian word "Lebu", which means the name for the Berber people who live west of the Nile River.
To the north, Libya borders directly on the Mediterranean Sea, to the east it borders Egypt, to the southeast it borders Sudan, to the south it borders Chad and Nigeria, while to the west it borders on

The area of Libya is around 1.8 million square km. Libya is the 4th largest country in Africa. Even though it has a large area, the population in this country is relatively small, namely only 7.2 people.
97% of the people in Libya are dominated by Arab Berber ethnicities. And the majority of them are Muslim. After the civil war that led to the death of Muammar Gaddafi, Libya is currently led by the prime minister.
Libya is divided into three regions, 18 provinces and 22 districts. The 3 main regions, namely Tripolitania, Fezzan and Cyrenaica.
Libya's economy depends on the oil sector. Libya has the 10th largest oil reserves in the world.
Apart from oil, another natural resource is gas
natural and gypsum. This country has a per capita income
amounting to, 7800 dollars.
The official currency of this country is the Libyan Dinar. The unemployment rate in Libya is very high, reaching 20%.
Since 2010, more than 28% of the population in Libya has had no access to adequate drinking water. The climate in the country is mostly very dry because it is dominated by deserts. However, the northern region enjoys a more Mediterranean climate
Life expectancy in this country is 70 years for men and 75 years for women. More than 82% of Libya's population can read and write
The Libyan national flag consists of red, black and green. In the center there is a crescent moon and star symbol
The color red symbolizes the blood of the people, and the color green is a symbol of prosperity. Meanwhile, the crescent moon and star are traditional symbols in many Islamic countries
