On the 22nd anniversary of the tragic terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 2,977 innocent individuals on American soil, the administration made a significant announcement. They informed Congress that they had recently approved a deal to release $6 billion in frozen funds to Iran, a nation known for its support of terrorism. This action was part of a larger prisoner exchange, wherein five U.S. citizens were liberated by the Iranian government in exchange for five Iranians held in U.S. custody.
