This piece began with a chance meeting between Zoe Page and professional rigger Vagabound, first introduced in a podcast earlier this year. What followed, in the quiet early hours of the weekend, was a deeply personal rope session unlike anything Zoe has ever captured on film. Zoe Page is of course well known for her professional performances in Shibari and bondage collaborations with other creators for the camera that’s choreographed. But this was something entirely different. There was no audience, no performance. For the first time, the camera witnessed Zoe not as a performer, but simply as herself, present, open and fully in the moment.
