Urban vs Rural When The SHTF

Will the cities, suburbs or rural areas be more prepared? Which groups of people will fare better when food and supply shortages occur? When the economy collapses or the EMP hits, how will these different groups of people survive? Will they group together or try and kill each other? There will be a huge competition for resources in large urban or suburban areas full of consumers. Where will the massive amounts of food, water and supplies come from? Will the people in the rural areas be targeted for their recourses?
