Summer of 70: Pikes Peak Marathon!

I had a good day during the 4th big challenge ( This is my 4th marathon since the Leadville Marathon on June 17th) of my "Summer of 70" race series. I was surprised that I had finished ahead of almost 200 entrants. That seems like an accomplishment as I had my 70th birthday in July and the other competitors in the Pikes Peak Marathon are above-average runners as they had to qualify just to toe the starting line. Almost everyone was younger than this old timer. Feels good to be getting my running back because I started this journey over 4 years ago, when I weighed 80 lbs. more than now, and could only run 1 minute at a time on flat ground.
