UGANDA’s INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS IN INDIA

Uganda's celebration of Independence Day in India took a significant turn with the official presentation of the flag carrier, Uganda Airlines, to the Indian business community.

The airline launched direct flights to the Indian city of Mumbai over the weekend. Highlighting this momentous occasion, Uganda's High Commissioner to India, Professor Joyce Kakuramatsi, announced her intent to engage with her Indian counterparts to eliminate import restrictions on Uganda's fresh produce.

She said this at the sidelines of Uganda-India Business Summit held in Mumbai and was graced by the presence of Works and Transport Minister Gen Katumba Wamala.
