The situation in Ashkelon after a massive attack by Hamas, rocket hit a hotel

A rocket hit a hotel in Ashkelon in southern Israel, Haaretz reports.

Rocket sirens sounded several times in Ashkelon on Tuesday. Al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Hamas) previously threatened to launch rocket attacks on the city at 17.00 and also called on the population to evacuate.

"A missile hit the Regina Hotel in Ashkelon in southern Israel," the report said.

Meanwhile, sirens have been heard in Tel Aviv, warning of possible incoming rockets, the Israeli military said.
