The Vital Role of God's Watchmen : The Marks of a True Watchman

God needs watchmen on the earth to ensure that His will is accomplished. Humans have been given authority on the earth, so without their participation, God's will cannot be fully realized. Watchmen must pay close attention to God's plans and purposes, first aligning their own lives through prayer. They are called to pray God's will into their personal lives, families, and cities. Watchmen have the vital role of making decrees and prophesying the will of God on earth. Through their words, they call forth angels, winds, and the supernatural realm to establish the purposes of God. Watchmen are being matured into sonship and raised into greater spiritual authority.
A key focus for watchmen is people, as this is God's primary concern on the earth. Watchmen intercede for nations and for specific prophecies to come to pass. An important aspect of their role is to lift up their heads, fixing their eyes on God to hear Him clearly. This enables them to receive authority to judge matters and issue divine decrees. The enemy fights hard to prevent this.
There are rewards for faithful watchmen. As they are found stewarding their lives well, they experience God's mercy and grace to walk in eternal life. Watchmen are perfected and established to accomplish good works. They come to abide in true peace and rest.
In summary, God seeks devoted watchmen who will steward their lives with integrity and advance His Kingdom wholeheartedly. Through intercession, decrees, and prophecy, watchmen birth the will of God on the earth. They play a vital part in bringing to pass God's plans and purposes for people, cities, and nations.
