While My Guitar Cries For War

Yesterday I was listening to a podcast where they were discussing the events unfolding in the war between Israel and Hamas, and the host of the podcast said something along the lines of “we have to realize that there are innocent children dying, on both sides, that have no idea what this conflict is even about.” Something about that idea hit me in such a visceral way that I burst into tears at that moment.

Last night I decided to channel some of what I was feeling into the guitar into a piece I call “While My Guitar Cries For War”, an obvious nod to The Beatles, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

I think this is the most emotional guitar playing I’ve ever captured and it really does feel like my guitar is crying during the song.

Please note, this video contains raw footage of the actual conflict and may be disturbing to some, although I edited out the most disturbing parts. I felt it was important to see the actual grim reality of what's happening, as sad and horrific as it may be.
