District Attorney Fani Willis is prosecuting the former president over his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. On Tuesday, her office filed a petition seeking testimony from Jones and McDaniel, which Judge Scott McAfee granted. He ruled that each is “a necessary and material witness in this prosecution” and “will be required to be in attendance and testify.”
