Liberals Learn too Little

The gun grabbers are changing their tune in Israel. But it may be a case for them of too little…too late.
It’s certainly too late for the nearly thousand Israelis who died, many of them prohibited from owning or using firearms to protect themselves and their families as Hamas’ vultures descended from the skies on an unsuspecting Jewish populace. It’s too late for the hundreds kidnapped, raped, and beheaded.
And that’s a lesson for America, as well. Fortunately, our Second Amendment still protects the rights of our citizens to protect our families and nation.
As for Israel, only after the slaughter concluded and the smoke cleared did the unity, wartime government act to protect the lives of its people. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir ended many strict gun-control laws, allowing thousands of additional Israelis to possess the lifesaving weapons. Loosened regulations will permit many who served in the Israeli army, police, security forces, and firefighters to be armed. Those in security forces, special units, and rescue workers are also included.
The measure also returns weapons to those who failed to perform refresher firearms training or whose conditional licenses had expired. Oddly enough, Israeli citizens will be allowed to possess a maximum of only 100 bullets each.
We pray it won’t take a terrorist invasion of America for our own gun grabbers to learn these lifesaving lessons.
