The Torah is not Gods word

Why was the Torah made up? Why do the Jewish people take the Torah as God’s word when it clearly not? Why do they act so incredibly self righteous and so incredibly hateful at the same time. I wonder how many will not make it to the new heaven? God said he harden their hearts because they turned their back on him.
