Hal Finney is one of the pioneers of Bitcoin and is known for being the first person to receive a Bitcoin transfer from creator Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. He was born on May 4 in Coalinga, California in 1956 and studied engineering at the California Institute of Technology, graduating in 1979.
