One person dead, another person serious after hit-and-run on Indy's south side

Police say two people were struck by a vehicle that left the scene near the intersection of E. Stop 11 Road and Cherington Drive.  Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The second person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
