As a Michael Crichton fan, I had read, and very much enjoyed, Jurassic Park and The Lost World. The original Jurassic Park movie, was an excellent adaptation of the books, but the movies kinda spiraled downward from there. So when Jurassic World was announced, I was skeptical. Why WHY would they be making another movie. Another park? IT WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA THE FIRST TIME. But of course when corporate interest gets involved, bad ideas come back into fruition. Well as expected, Jurassic World was your average action blockbuster. It did not follow much of the groundwork laid out by the previous movies or the books, and was basically a "Look at my flashy graphics, explosions, and weird monsters". If you can ignore how silly almost every concept in this movie is, its an entertaining movie. It was never boring and I kept watching till the end, but I definitely said "oh COME ON" and "really??" several times as the plot unfolded.

All in All, I give this movie a generous 6/10.

It's worth watching if you sneak into the theatre.
