I wrote this song on a 21 hour drive up to New York last year. It's about a fella who, through his misdoings, ends up serving a long stretch in prison. Despite his desperation to hear from his estranged family and friends, no one every tries to contact him back. He is left forgotten, to wither away in a cell.
