How insulin influences fat storage with alcohol consumption

Once the body secretes insulin, we are in fat storage mode. The body cannot utilize any incoming glucose while self regulating with insulin. This may explain why alcohol typically is associated with weight gain, along with poor food choices that tend to occur with alcohol consumption.
