When a father warns you about his children, you should listen.

AI has been an extremely hot topic lately, and with it's rapid growth, our technological capabilities will likely climb to mountainous heights we once thought unimaginable. However, with this great, powerful new tools comes an immense responsibility.

Geoffrey Hinton, known as "The Godfather Of AI", quit his job at Google earlier this month, stating that, he regrets his entire life's work. He says he did this so he could warn the world about the dangers that lie ahead. Speaking at MIT, he explained that he believes that humans are just a passing phase in intelligence, and that they have essentially created an "imortal form of digital intelligence", that could be stopped on one machine, but could then easily be brought back to life on another. He then uttered the eerie statements that "it (the AI) may keep us around for a while to keep the power stations running, but after that, maybe not." And said that it may be sensible to stop developing these things any further.
