Israel steps up air raids on Gaza ahead of expected ground invasion

Israel is pounding the Gaza Strip with massive air strikes described as “fire belts” levelling whole blocks, according to Palestinian media.
Six people were reported killed and eight injured by an Israeli strike in Khan Younis that hit a family home.
At least four hospitals in northern Gaza are no longer functioning following Israeli bombardments, according to the United Nations.
More than 2,670 people have been killed by Israeli attacks on Gaza with at least 9,600 wounded.
