We're on the other side of peak "Hollywood Nerd Culture." Longstanding nerd franchises like Star Wars, Doctor Who, Marvel, Lord of the Rings and more have been destroyed by their corporate owners. 'Shill' sites that cover nerd culture and gaming are folding. Even tabletop has taken a hit, with Wizards of the Coast blowing up their own customer goodwill. Oh, and Funko is bleeding cash. So what's next?
