President Eisenhower Tried to Warn Us

Last week the Department of Defense announced ANOTHER aid package for Ukraine: another $200 million of our tax money for artillery rounds, Rocket Systems, missiles, and drones.
This is the 48th aid package sent to Ukraine. We’ve now given them more than $113 BILLION. That’s more than the annual budget of any state.
And why is the PENTAGON making this announcement? Let’s hear from our President almost 63 years ago:
President Eisenhower:
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence – whether sought or unsought – by the Military Industrial Complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists – and will persist.
Yep. The top brass at the Pentagon are persisting in pumping up their industry. Look at their press release:
“Strengthening our defense industrial base and creating highly skilled jobs for the American people.”
Ahh, it’s great for the economy!
President Eisenhower nailed it. Unfortunately, we didn’t guard against it.
