Autumn To May (Peter Paul & Mary) cover

Autumn To May is a song I think was written by Peter Yarrow and Paul Stookey of the band, Peter Paul and Mary. Dave Van Ronk recorded an excellent but much different version around the same time in the early 1960`s which makes me think it might be a traditional folk song. I have trouble getting a decent recording when I strum the guitar so I stuffed the guitar full of towels to make it less loud. It sounds muffled and very clunky. I have no idea the problem is. I`ve tried everything I can think of. Anyways this is one of the first songs I learned to play and it`s still one of my favorites.
