Hawaiian Royalty- Did they help protect some of the land in Lahaina from the fire?

I read an article published in the Carroll County Times (Baltimore, MD) and read of a Hawaiian homestead community spared by the Lahaina fire that destroyed much of the town. I'm exploring the idea of divine intervention and go into the Royals who were laid to rest in Lahaina.
