THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED 14th MARCH.
To celebrate 10,000 subscribers and to thank you all for your support is I’m hosting a stop motion contest. It is now officially open for entries.

Here’s everything you need to know to take part.

1. The theme. The theme for this contest is HOPES, DREAMS and FANTASY. You can interpret this theme however you like, and you don’t have to use all three elements of it, but you must use at least one of the three.

2. Please include the number 10 somewhere in your animation.

3. Your animation should be 5 minutes or less. This means the length of the actual animation, not the length of your whole video.

4. Appropriate content. Your animation does not need to be made for kids, but please don’t include any swearing, crudeness or adult themes. It is fine to have fighting, blood, realistic injuries, horror, and intense or scary sequences. If you’re not sure whether your content is suitable for the contest, please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you, or email me at [email protected]

5. Stop motion. Your animation needs to be a stop motion. It can include elements of CGI or live action, but the main part of the video should be stop motion animation. It does not have to be made using Lego.

6. Judging. I will judge the entries based on the follow factors 1. Story and script. 2. Cinematography. 3. Lighting. 4. Originality. 5. Voice acting. 6. Sound editing. 7. Animation quality. 8. Visual editing and effects 9. Set design and 10. Whether the video fits with the theme. Although I’ll be judging based on those 10 factors, don’t worry, if your video doesn’t have voice acting or doesn’t have a story, I’ll adjust the scorings so that your video still gets a fair rating.

7. When it comes to announcing the winner, in the past, I have done a top 5, a top 10, or even a top 20 list at the end of the contest. This time it is most likely to be a top 10, but I will decide based on how many entries there are.

8. There will be a Lego prize for the winner, as well as a shout out and a place on my featured channels and in my Hall of Fame. The winner will get to choose one of the three sets shown in this video, which are set 60148, set 60158 or set 75236.

9. Each channel is allowed to enter a maximum of two animations

10. You are allowed to collaborate with other channels or to get your friends or family to help you.

11. Please don’t use copyrighted music in your animation unless you’re happy for me to replace the music on your video if it gets into the top 10.

12. Your animation needs to be uploaded to YouTube or emailed to me by the 20th February 2020. If you are uploading your video to YouTube, you need to tell me about it by posting a comment on this video, or any other Gold Puffin video, telling me the name of your animation or with the link to the video. Please only do this by posting a new comment, not by replying to a comment that is already there. You need to tell me about your video on or before 20th February 2020. If I haven’t responded to your comment and commented on your video, I might not have seen it, so please check.
