Save Your Back With A Pickaroon

A pickaroon is a fantastic tool for moving wood around, and will save a lot of wear and tear on your back. It is a simple tool that gives you a lot of reach and extra ability. There are a lot of versions of pickaroons and their cousins, the hookaroon, from the older style like I have here to lightweight modern versions. Pickaroons can also be made from old worn-out axe heads pretty easily.
